ABOUT
Crafted Canine is owned and operated by Kaylee Owen, a lifelong animal lover who has been part of the pet-care industry since 2016. She began her journey as a bather and, through years of hands-on experience, education, and mentorship, grew into the highly skilled groomer she is today. She grew up in Albuquerque. New Mexico and now lives in California with her 3 year old Standard Poodle, Zuko.
Education and Certifications
Kaylee believes that pets deserve the same level of care, safety, and respect as any member of the family. Because grooming is an unregulated industry, she has made it her mission to pursue extensive, science-backed education so that every dog in her care receives the highest standard of service. She has earned her Fear Free Certification, AKC SAFE Handling and Disease and Sanitation Certifications, CPR and First Aid Certification, and multiple milestones toward her Nationally Certified Master Groomer title through both AKC and NDGAA. Kaylee is also an active grooming competitor and has placed in Poodle classes, reflecting her dedication to precision, artistry, and continual improvement.

Kaylee is a member of California Professional Pet Groomers Association (CPPGA), the National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA), and the Fear Free community. These organizations help Kaylee to put the most up to date, ethical, and fear free techniques and services into her business. Crafted Canine is fully licensed and insured. You can be sure that your furry family member is completely covered and cared for in every possible way in our hands.

Her approach combines gentle, low-stress handling with specialized skin and coat care, thoughtful attention to each dog’s emotional well-being, and beautifully executed breed-standard grooming that is rarely offered all in one place.
